In 2009 we delivered services and facilities for more people than ever. The level of provision was maintained in spite of the difficult economic climate that persists. It makes sense that demands for community based essential support services will increase at a time when recession is biting at the heels of us all. In particular this is felt in the lives of woman and families in disadvantaged communities. Addressing disadvantage and creating strategies to enable women to access equal opportunities are core to the delivery of The Women’s Centre programmes. The 2009 outcomes and results reflect the Centre’s success at delivering programmes and actions. Actions that enable women to play full equal roles in our community and combat poverty and disadvantage.
