CENTRE OVERVIEW Our 25th anniversary year 2007 is an opportunity to reflect on where we are today and to celebrate the journey. We did this in December and it was great to see so many women at the event who have all made their valuable contribution to building The Women ’ Centre over the years. It was great to be able to mark the occasion in our own space at Beibhinn House. In 2007 we added two new projects, one with young women (IPOD) and one working jointly with mothers and babies (CATC). There are more details about these below. Welcome to Paddy (IPOD) and Pauline (CATC) who will deliver this work. Another significant development
in 2007 is the consolidation of the Women’s Centres Regional
Partnership and the gathering of
momentum with actions to
strengthen the strategic influence
of the partnership as a voice for You will see from the audit numbers that the Centre is a popular as ever and as busy as ever. It’s hard to find a room sometimes and there is always a buzz created by the women who participate in the courses, use the services and make the Centre a happy and attractive place in which to learn. |
